tagterms.com is the worlds first commercial tag based directory and search engine (Or at least the worlds first ‘sustainable’ one... we hope ;-).

Yup, that’s right: 100% commercial, meaning you’ve got to pay to play.

We’re kind of working on a little experiment here that says that it is not just possible to create a tag cloud based directory (Or ‘Tag Storm’ / ‘Thundertag’ – You make the call!) made out of 100% paid listings, but that it’s sustainable, and by adding a healthy dose of user interaction / social networking, that it can have the best of both worlds.

You buy a listing for your site. Your listing is enabled & live immeaditly after payment is received. You get all of the features listed below. Then our visitors interact with tagterms to determine what sites are the most relevant for any particular term. And you get traffic. To your site. Making you money. Get it?

Honestly, we think it’s a pretty cool concept and one that could really ‘work’ for everyone involved.

  (Check out the terms, though: Your tag's got to be relevant...)
• Up to ten tags associated with your listing, starting out with the average color and size for that TAG - we're all equal in the beginning, right?

• No obscene, racist, hate, abusive, illegal, or just plain old dumb content allowed
  (All of these, including dumb, are defined by us... Listings are entered automatically, and enabled by you, not us. We may review your listings and find that it doesn't fit the tag as per OUR decision. Then we remove it, and call it an 'abuse'. And don't do refunds. Or notify you. End of story... )

• tagterms.com is a dynamic environment based in part on what our users do. If your page isn't relevant, based on X criteria, after a while it won't show up for that tag anymore.
  (Over time non-relevant listings slowly fade away to nothing. Use your head, pick good tags, and you should be good to go. Remember, the community decides this one… not us.)

• Use your head with your tags; if it's not relevant, it isn't going to get any clicks

• Affiliate links are fine. We allow them. You just need to tell us... A simple check box on step 3.
